9. Hot Metal
In "Hot Metal", Jeremy Clarkson tells us how everything is slowing down. But is it the same for today's cars? That means the 200mph Jaguar XJ220 taking on a Pagani Zonda. It means pitting a Mercedes McLaren SLR against a Porsche Carrera GT. And it means lining up a Ford GT with the original GT40. The Aston Martin DB9 is here too, taking on the old V8 Vantage warhorses, and just how much faster is the Mitsubishi Evo 8 compared to the first Evo? Then just for the hell of it, a Nissan gets riddled with machine gun fire while taking up the new and dangerous sport of 'clay car shooting'!

10. Heaven and Hell
In "Heaven and Hell", Jeremy Clarkson trawls the whole of cardom to bring you seven great cars and then truffles through the undergrowth looking for seven automotive disasters. The good ones – the Ferraris, the Porches and the Aston Martins are driven to within an inch of their lives on the track. Some are even handed over to the Stig, who makes a guest appearance. The bad ones are killed. Sawn in half. Hung, drawn and quartered. They're hammered and blown to pieces with dynamite, and their skeletons are left in the open to rot. And there's even time for a game of car jousting!

11. The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
Jeremy Clarkson heads to the USA to find out if the country that gave us fast food and the fast buck can make a decent fast car? In his quest, he pitches the best of the West against Europe's finest. The Stig's along for the ride too as the BMW Z4 M is put head-to-head with the mighty Dodge Viper SRT 10. And the little Lotus Exige against a tuned Mustang. A 200mph Corvette 206 is put through its paces alongside the Cadillac XLRV, the Ford GT and its topless cousin, the GT X1. There's science too, as an old Jaguar and Lincoln are flooded with water, two Buicks are torn into pieces, a mustang horse is raced against a Mustang car, and high explosives are used to make a 'star-spangled banger'. Oh, and we discover what happens if you fill a green Toyota Prius with a special kind of lead. Bullets!!

12. Supercar Showdown
Jeremy Clarkson travels the planet - from Spain via Strasbourg to Swindon - for the "Supercar Showdown" to beat them all. There's a fight between a prancing horse and a raging bull as topless versions of the Ferrari 430 and Lamborghini Gallardo slug it out. The Gallardo's big cousin, the Murcielago, weighs in too. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano struts its stuff, and Audi's R8 faces up to the Porsche GT3 as Nurburgring-know-all Sabine Schmitz tokes on the Stig. Clarkson turns into a Formula 1 hero thanks to a Radical SR3 and has a blast in the Aston Martin Vantage V8 Roadster and the stunning Ascari A10. The line-up of supercars would not be complete without the 1000-horsepower, 252mph Bugatti Veyron, so he blasts off in one of those too. Meanwhile, everything else explodes as Clarkson finds out if there is such a thing as 'too much' turbo power!

13. Thriller
In "Thriller", it's unsurprisingly all about thrills at the wheel. Aston Martin's 'gentleman thug', the DBS, takes on rivals from Italy – including the 240mph Pagani Zonda F Roadster – on the breathtaking roads of the Swiss Alps, and the lightweight Lamborghini Superleggera battles it out on the track with Ferrari's 430 Scuderia. The Porsche 911 turbo gets to strut its stuff on the autobahn too. Clarkson then swaps his racing overalls for a camouflage uniform to join the Marines at the controls of an all-terrain Viking, before using its machine gun to shoot at a Lexus! Then there's the rocket science - Clarkson-style - as a Porsche 944 is fitted with 'rocket launchers'. He also blasts fireworks at a speed camera, has a bit of an accident with a double-decker bus, and drops a 7-tonne diesel engine onto a Highways Agency traffic car!

14. Duel
Which car makes the most smoke while going sideways – a Lamborghini Murcielago SuperVeloce or a Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S? What is best at drifting – the Jaguar XKR, the Lotus Evora, Audi's R8 V10 or BMW's M3? Jeremy Clarkson intends to find out in "Duel". The Stig and Clarkson join forces against Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell, as an Aston Martin DBS Volante is pushed to the limit against a Ferrari California, before a road race between a Ford Focus RS and the Stig in a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. As always, there's some 'serious science' too. Can the Stig drift a car while wearing wellies? Can Clarkson corner in flippers? Can Formula One ace Anthony Davidson slide a car in ice skates? Then there's a sprint between rugby winger Tom Varndell and an Aston Martin V12 Vantage, and a whole load more celebrity challenges and carnage!

Also present are the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and the jaw-dropping Mercedes SLS AMG. Jezza's face then gets a workout in an Ariel Atom, before the final Italian shake-down of the £1.3 million, Nurburgring lap record-setting, Zonda R. Then it's back to England for a classic touring car race against 20 experienced rivals. What could possibly go wrong?!
