The husband, who is in a bad mood due to a clogged pipe, is attacking the animals and even the rats in the basement. Aunt Spoon protects the mouse family and gets into a big fight with the husband. When Mr. Bjornhalken learns of this, he gives the aunt a treasured heirloom, a whale's baleen, as a token of his gratitude.
